Added these two cuties to my shop this week

Roadside Relics

You know me always a sucker for a abandoned house

Thankfully I had my big camera with me

I love exploring, love old homes, barns, factories etc.

Know any great places, towns etc worth checking out in NC, Let me know 

My husband and I used to take rides on sunday afternoons just to check out new towns, places, roads where we've never been down

These were taken on our way to Southport, 

looks like it might have been an old plantation grounds

I think this one is my favorite above, love the little side porch

And check out the outhouse

I love imagining who might have lived here, what it looked like in it's day

And of course what happened to its owners 

Just remember that building or place you always want to stop and get a picture of well do it, live in the moment, keep your camera with you at all times

One day it may not be there 

Safe Haven

Couple weekends ago

we hit the road for #1 on my NC Road Trip Bucket List

"yeah that's a mouthful " Southport NC

was #1 on my list to explore, they were having a Springfest

so why not it was a beautiful day

Can I say I love Southport., reminds me of the Town where I grew up in

St. Michaels MD, but before it got all touristy

Southport is right on the water, has lots of quaint shops and places to eat

and a ton of cutest southern cottages 

We want to go back again and check it out more 

Love the Peacock detail on the rails how cool

We explored the Springfest vendors a few Antique shops

Hit the cutest Ice Cream shop, and checked out the ferry to Fort Fisher

We had wanted to take it but the next ferry wasn't until 6pm at night 

eek don't think so. There is also a ferry to Bald Head Island you can catch from here adding that to my list

This is also the town where the novel Safe Haven takes place in fact they just filmed parts of the movie there last year. I did recognize a few locations from the movie. Pretty neat! Love that movie

Ooh what I wouldn't give for a cute little cottage on the water 

Lots of streets lined with Live Oaks, and beautiful porches 

Better Late Than Never Right ?

Crazy late posting these Easter pictures

but wanted to share a few 

We had a great Easter, full of egg dying, egg hunting, Easter Basket Goodies

And spending time together

It was nice to have Mom Mom close to join in on the Easter Egg Hunt

The kids had a ball the Kiwanis Park by our house had a huge

Egg hunt, Dalton was crazy excited and Daddy had to hold onto cause

he was kicking and screaming to get down and into the eggs

Unfortunately they did the hunts all at the same time, we tried to each go with a kid and then change half way thru., worked out okay.

Poor Dalton was trying to dump his basket into another kids, and

was stomping on the eggs to crack them

Time is Blowin By

Enjoying Spring here this week

Outdoor play time is the best, a package of bubbles and other Easter Goodies arrived just in time earlier this week

I love watching these guys explore there eyes light up in wonder

The days are flying by I want to wrap them up and keep them in a bubble

Maddie is turning 5 soon and Dalton will be 2 

The Imagination of this little girl amazes me, she's so smart

I can't wait for her to start Kindergarden this fall as I know she will exceed

She's also quite the character. 

She told me this week while running errands that she didn't want to go into the

post office cause it smelled like Dirty Cheetos ha ha gotta love her

And this little guy is quite the handful, he's all boy thats for sure

On a roll, think I have finally got out of my blogging rut

Enjoying listening to the birdies chirp as I type waiting for the kiddos to wake up, one of my favorite parts of the day. I love have a few minutes to clear my head before I start the day.
