Few Randoms from the birthday weekend!

My cake turned out okay, not exactly what I had in mind. But oh well right. I think she liked it!

Store bought cake was cute too. I made up lil sand buckets for all of the kids, stuffed with

Nemo coloring pages (printed off of internet), Nemo bubbles (found at dollar tree, yeah buddy),

Nemo fruit snacks & Organic raisins. I attached lil blue fish tags to the bucket with their names printed on it.

They turned out cute. Wish I would have taken a picture to show you...

How about my daddy shaving off that wooley catapillar!! That's what I called it.

I like it., I think he looks so much younger.

He says he wants to grow it back, that it feels weird without it.

Guess it's a comfort thing.

Thought I'd share a few more birthday photos. All in all she had a great birthday.

But I am still recovering ha,ha We tried to cram alot in a weekend.

Tom's grandmother and his uncle came down from West Minister, (2 1/2 hr ride)

That was so nice of them to come down.

We had some good food, My Dad made his famous meatballs, My stepmom made

yummy yummy shrimp dip, I made quesadillas, Pigs in a blanket & Pasta Salad.

Weird combo I know.. ha ha

We also had lots of fishy stuff, Swedish fish, Gummy sharks, and other Gummy sealife.

And of course Nemo fruit snacks, Peppridge Farm Goldfish (served in a fish bowl)

Celebration

Maddie had a great birthday!!!

She had a busy weekend, did lots of partying, ate lots of sweets and got a ton of cool presents.

We all enjoyed spending time with family & friends.

No cake competion. Tom chickened out, so last minute I got a cake from Giant.

And guess what they had a Nemo cake. Talk about lucky.

I did make my cake, pictured in above. Turned out okay.

We crammed everything into this weekend.

Friday night we went to dinner with family to celebrate her birthday

Saturday a.m. we wenting yard saleing, then in the afternoon we had her party. Then in the evening

we had snow crab legs & jumbo shrimp at my parents house. Needless to say we were all wore out.

Sunday Maddie & Tom took me out for breakfast for Mothers Day. We then went back to my parents to see my brother off. That was emotional! Everyone hates to see them leave. Then we stopped for lunch

before heading home and when we finally got home we all crashed. Tom & I hit the couch and Maddie

down for a nap. After we recharged we went to dinner w/Tom's family to take their mom out for dinner.

I took a ton of pictures was too tired to go thru them all. Will do a big post tomorrow.

Turning Two Today

Miss Madelyn Mae is 2 today!!

Time has pasted so quickly I can't believe how grown up she is!

I love her more and more each day, I love everything she is and everything she will be.

I love listening to her & watching her learn new things.

Even when she gags herself at dinner on purpose and thinks it's hilarious !

She is such a good girl!

We have a small birthday party planned for tomorrow afternoon.

Her cousin is even coming into town for her birthday!

Such a cute quiet town on the water. I could live there.

I think the guys were bored but they managed to put themselves thru it for me.

Well today 2yrs ago today, my water broke here at work.. in the hallway in front of everyone in the office.

Everyone went crazy panicking to drive me to the hospital. What a mess! I was soaked.

I had been having some back pain all afternoon but nothing consistant.

I was due until 5/19 I but had her 5/7 $ 4:17am

What a blessing she is !! I am thankful for her everyday.

I love watching her learn new things, she's growing up so fast

I can't wait to celebrate her birthday with friends & family on Saturday!!

Antique hunting in Swansboro

Love this bed.

 When I put this picture on my computer I spotted  that robins egg blue toolbox

eek. I didn't even see that. There was so much in this little building. I must have missed it :(

Mike if your reading this  "hint, hint" would be a great Xmas gift. lol

I have had a thing lately for old toolboxes, and this one is in my favorite color!!

I love the yellow Nugrape bottles., so different. You don't see many yellow print bottles.

My brother took us to some neat antique shops along the way.

The couple pictures above with all of the cottagey, beachy stuff was actually a little shed.

Stuffed full of goodies. It even had bead board on the inside. Painted a cute shade of green.

I ended up getting an old bread box, and a cute little bird planter. But saw lots that I wanted.

We then went to downtown Swansboro and walked around and checked out a few shops.

I'll share some of those another day. Hope I am boring you by dragging are trip photos on, and on.

Don't ask me the name of it, I don't think they had a sign.. it was so small.

I love the house in the first picture wish I could have explored a little.

But for that I would have to get over my fear of snakes...eek

 I can barely read the sign but looks like it was a grocery/general store maybe.

Busy week this week preparing for Miss Maddie's 2nd birthday party.

I think I mentioned before I am making Maddie's cake,

However Tom and I decided to each make our own cake.

As we both had different ideas in mind.

This will be a cake contest!!

We are going to have everyone vote to see who's cake is better.

I know we are dorks... ha,ha
