Vintage Owl Tea Towel Pillow

My heart skipped a beat when I saw this vintage owl tea towel and I had to have it , I love anything owl and I have a love for vintage tea towels so it's a perfect mix. But I think this one is one of my all time faves

I knew that this would make the cutest pillow so bam

a pillow was made. Added some pom pom (thrift find) trim

and I love it!!

So now this pretty lil thang is a great addition to Miss Maddie"s bedding

(even thou I really wanted to keep it all to myself..ha ha)

I have slowly been working on her room, still have a few projects left than I will share some photos of it

So next time you see a unique vintage tea towel think pillow

some are just too pretty to wipe your hands on :)

Aw Coconuts.. Coconut Lime Body Scrub Recipe

Happy Monday!!

Wanted to pop in an share a recipe I found and tweaked some

For a delicious smelling body scrub

Coconut Lime Body Scrub

Crazy easy and simple to make

Here is a list of ingredients

Juice of 2 Limes

1/2 cup Brown Sugar

4 tbsp Coconut Oil 

Found my Coconut Oil at Trader Joe's for $5 something

much better price than the $8 the Grocery store wanted

Your first step is going to be to squeeze your limes

If you don't have a juicer, just cut them up and try squeezing by hand

no biggie

After squeezing your limes 

Add the lime juice and your 1/2 cup of brown sugar together

in a small bowl whisk until free of lumps

Than Add your coconut oil 1 tbsp at a time to thicken whisk

in between tbsp

I smells wonder, I wanted to add some rub to mine to drink

but I don't think it would be easy to get down...lol

Then I placed the contents of the bowl into a canning jar

perfect for sitting beside the tub

Stir with a spoon or your hand before use to make sure its mixed well together

Smear it in the shower or tub, apply all over your body in small circles

The acid in the fruit juice is suppose to sloughs off dry patches

Perfect for the winter dryness your skin gets this time of year

These would make a nice gift with a handmade tag
