Easter Day

Baby D watching the chilly egg hunt thru the window

Our dyeing cups what a mix

So not happy watching the Egg dyeing process

Our Easter was very laid back this year,
We spent time together as a family
Had a mini Egg hunt on the back porch and went to the park.
Plus we got a visit from my parents. They brought their own eggs and had an egg hunt for Maddie.
She loved it
We had plans to go across the bridge to Frederick MD
to Tom's Aunt & Uncle's place but his other Uncle developed a weird condition called Guillion Barre (spelling?) out of the blue
and is hospitalized in John Hopkins. What a scary thing to
arise out of the blue. They said he will recover just not sure how long it will take could be weeks, months even years.
Pretty scary to be normal one minute and in the next everything changes. He is only 45!! goodness

One of my favorite shots of the day

We had a blast Easter Sunday
We traveled to Westminster to have Easter dinner with Tom's Aunt
and family. We had a blast! My girl was wore out.
She screamed when she saw the eggs and continued to scream
everytime she found one. Of course when she was thru
she wanted more eggs. So later on they had another hunt.
She was so happy and so into it. She found all of them all by herself.
We had a very nice dinner, I made Hummingbird cake!
believe it or not and it was quite good. I'll have to share
the Martha Stewart recipe I found. Reminds me alot of carrot cake kind of.
It was nice to catch up with Tom's side of the family.,
I do miss getting together with my family.
Everyone seems to go their seperate ways

She had a great time, they sang a song and their teacher read a
cute Easter book. Then friday it was off to run errands and made
a short trip to see the Easter bunny at a local bank.
Then home for Easter Egg Dying.
Feels like I haven't sat still all weekend.
Hope everyone had a good Easter!

Egg-cellant Easter

E
.
My favorite ! So pretty

We had a great Easter, Hope you guys did too!
Beautiful weather! We headed to Frederick to Tom's Aunt Tinker's house to celebrate.
We don't get over there often so it was nice to see his Grandma & all of his Aunts &
Uncles and their families. The ride wasn't to bad. I got to finish reading Nicholas Sparks The Last Song
whew.. tear jerker. Grab a box of tissues if your going to read that one. Maddie had a ball, Tom's cousin has
two twins who are 5. And all over the place she had fun playing with their toys.
Mostly trucks & guns and golf clubs. What a combination. We had to end up hiding the plastic golf clubs.
We had ham and yummy crab cakes, I made  pasta salad (which was gone in 2 seconds I think) and a
dump cake in my bean pot. Some were frighten by the whole DUMP part of the title.
The kids had an Easter Egg hunt, Maddie got the hang of it right away. She was
so into it. It was hot and her face was bright red. Hard to get her to come inside.

It was a long weekend! Ooh we did make it to the flea market on saturday morning.
That was a big mistake as we found a couple vintage brooches but no real goodies.
However we stopped at a consignment shop on our way home and I hit the jackpot.
Several vintage pieces of fabric, a teal planter (for me), and some vintage linens.
Two cute yellow rose pillow cases. Soon to hit my Etsy shop.

Today it is suppose to be 87 degrees WHAT !! Feels like it should be August not April.
Heading out after work to a field of daffodils with Maddie to try and get some pictures.
I spotted the little field the other day. Worried about bees & stuff thou. We'll see what happens.
