Love all of the blooms popping up

But really wishing the weather would make up it's mind

one day it's nice & sunny and nice the next it's cold & rainy and 30 degrees

I want to get outside and play, and clean up the yard.

I wimp out when it's cold out.

I purchased the pattern from this Etsy shop.

So easy to make & the directions were very clear.

Was thinking of getting this one to do for a gift

A gift for Baby Brother

This weekend we decided to take Miss Maddie to the Clay Bakers shop

here in Easton, and see if she wanted to paint something for baby brother.

She choose a little piggy bank, we picked the colors of the nursery.

And we sponge painted with some help from daddy.

She then chose a circle dot sponge and made polka dots on him.

He turned out pretty cute. I can't wait to see the finished project.

She was so proud!

I would love to go back again I saw the cutest

Master Project

Thought I would share a few pictures of our bedroom, which is still a work in progress but it's getting there. We've added new blinds, new curtains, new mattress! Yay! (We've finally upgraded from a full size to a queen)

I still want to paint the room, the wall color and the dark furniture

make it seems like a dungeon. But now with the white curtains, blinds

and the bedding the room feels so much lighter.

My favorite is the curtains, I got plain white sailcloth curtains from

Target and added a trim in my favorite Heather Bailey fabric.

You might remember it from this attempt at a redo for my fabric shades.

That was a disaster, After I finally completed one the cats chewed the

cords off...ugh  So much for that. These turned much better. 

Next up is changing up the pictures on the wall some, and rearranging nick nacky stuff.

Hard to concentrate with all of the crazy howling & leave crunching noises going on..

We made a short visit to the beach this past weekend.

We were disappointed to find the rides weren't open

so we checked out the arcade. Maddie was amazed by the load music & the lights from all of the machines.

Her favorite of course was the dino machine.

You had to pick up rubber dinos with the

dino skeleton's mouth. Daddy was very good with it.,

we came home with 7 dinos. Like we needed some more.

We then walked the boardwalk some and ate pizza at doughrollers.

Yum! Maddie did awesome and went to the potty no accidents.

She slept all the way home. Girlfriend was wore out.

Sunday we ran errands and got birthday supplies for

Maddie's 3rd birthday! coming up. Trying to prepare for everything ahead

of time. She loves playing with the cups and plates and even wanted

to sleep with them..lol  Of course it's a dino themed party!!

The weather was awesome. 

We hit the St. Paddy's Day Parade in Town after

I picked her up from school then headed home for a bike ride

and some puddle playing.

Tomorrow is suppose to be even nicer.

Wish I didn't have to work

Babys Quilt

Testing out my new lens I decided to squeeze a photo shoot

of the babys quilt in the last few minutes of day light.

I love the days staying light later but am not liking getting up in the dark.

Love this bassinet especially since it has history. It'll be 56 yrs old!! this May.

It was my Dads when he was a baby. I did use it briefly with Maddie

but everytime her arm would hit the side she would wake up and cry.

She hated being swaddled and wrestled to get one arm out of the

blanket. Wonder what the new baby is going to be like.

She had done a quilt I liked and I asked if she could make a version

with out the pink in it. I think it turned out nicely.

I love the polka dot blue trim.

She has an all pink version right now in her shop that is adorable.

Special project

I made a couple shirts for a friends daughter

aren't they cute! She requested a knock off version of the adorable Boden

patchwork tees. I didn't want mine to be too close to the original

I hand drew the cat & dog and mixed up the colors and added buttons

and lots of small detail stitching. And she loved them especially since they

weren't the $30 a piece that Boden wants. 

She ended up finding a pink tutu skirt for daughter to wear with cat tee.

Maddie wanted the cat shirt, so I think I might make her one. 

Need to fit that in with the curtains & an owl pillow I am making.

FRIDAY FAVORITES (Nesting Version)

Thought I'd share a few things in my nesting folder I've bookmarked

A thousand thoughts running thru my head as I try

to prepare for baby boy.

I felt so prepared with Maddie this time I feel like a basket case.

Realized last night I need some little stuff like burp cloths, bibs, bottles

Everything I had saved of Maddie's is pink & girly.

We are still deciding on names

#2 is Dalton Perry

We'll see.. gotta make a decision soon

I am need of a new diaper bag
