Exploring

Few random pictures today.

Did some back road driving on my lunch 

break the other day.

Rolled down the windows, cranked up the 90's tunes on XM & broke out my camera.

Gotta love a lil bit of sunshine to break you

out of this winter funk.

Wind breakers & Nice weather

 

The weather has been freaky here

60 some on friday, and woke to snow this a.m.

Come on Spring!!

We rushed home on friday broke out the windbreaker and soaked up the last few minutes of sunshine.

She rode her bike, I carried it back.

We did some exploring, and stick picking.

I carried my big mama camera around

shooting some random stuff while she rode. 

Valentine's Party

Maddie's school Valentine party.

Off school today for Presidents day

working on potty training which has been

a chore. We are trying big girl panties 

today and so far it hasn't gone good.

I thought the feel of pee or poo in her

pants would make her upset but it's been

the opposite reaction. She thinks its funny

ugh.. I just don't think she understands yet.

Any advice ?

We are suppose to start big girl panties

in school tomorrow. 

I think it's going to be

a long day.

Big Girl Bed

Maddie's new bed is finally done.

Not the greatest pictures taken in our garage.

 This is after one coat. The color is like a Robin's Egg blue. Which I think is going to look great with her Coral colored walls in her bedroom. 

I do want to do some detail work on the scroll work, like use an accent color.

I think that would really bring out the beautiful scroll work. Ooh I made out great on the paint found a gallon of this color for $5 in Lowes on the Mistint cart.

I bought it sometime again hoping to use it for

another project and never did. We made out even

better with the primer we found a quart of primer

tinted to the exact same color we had already

picked for $2 !! How awesome is that.

I always check the mistint cart.

Now this weekends adventure is to find a mattress for it. But I see in todays paper that local mattress store

are having big sales for Presidents day weekend.

How great is that.

Then I think we'll be ready.

This is going to be something.

Been playing catch up and clean up at our house.

After being down and out with every sickness known to man. It's been crazy., on top of that my M.I.L has moved out so project nursery is on. 

I think every room has a project going on.

Trying to work on organizing photos and such on

my computer (and sneak milk & cookies)

and keep a little one entertained thus

the button mess. She loves putting them in piles for each color. Keeps her busy the aftermath is

the part I don't like.

Well it appears my giveaway was a bust

Weekend Goings on

stuff piled high to the ceiling..

This past weekend, we decided to blow the sickness off of us and take a ride to one of my favorite

Junk-tique places in Greenwood Delaware.

We've been wanting to find some new chairs for our new desk and for my new sewing chair. No such luck. Lots of choices but nothing we had to have. Saw lots of things I wanted but didn't need. That cute white bed, a Robin's egg blue colored trunk.

The hoarder that owns this place also has old cars for sale. I love looking at them. I'd love to own a big turquoise colored car with a big ol steering wheel.

Maybe one day.

Love Assignment

I love Pioneer Woman her cookbook is great, I love looking at her photographs

I would love to stay on her ranch. 

And I can't wait to get my hands on her new book

about her love story. If your not familar with Pioneer Woman you must check out her site. Her recipes are great & I love that she includes photos of the

step by step instructions. Dying to make her cinnamon rolls.

Found these cute Valentines at Target for Maddie

This is her first Valentines day at her new daycare center. Can't wait to check out her party today.

We had a rough night last night side effects from the benedryl = nightmares.. eek

Long night

We made this heart banner on friday.

I cut she drew then I sewed them together.

Turned out pretty cute.

memory is of my handmade Valentine's from

my grandmother she would always make

Valentine's for my brother and I

with paper doiles & magazine cut outs

of animals or dolls. So sweet., I love that she

took the time to make these for us

Big Girl

Been home since Tuesday with a sick little girl again.

3rd sickness in 3 months.. ugh

So tired of her getting sick.

I just want my happy lil girl back & healthy

While we've been home we've I've been redecorating

her room, and piecing together the nursery.

Picture above is of a few things on Maddie's new vanity.  A handmade Turtle from Daddy's cousin and a Hoho from Crystals shop. A print out of things going on on the day she was born and picture of all of us on her first birthday. We are slowly getting there.

Daddy's still working on painting her bed.

I can't wait to see everything put together.

Sweet Piggies... Painting away

We decided to work on some artwork for the babies room.

My sister in law came up with a great idea that we let

Maddie create a piece for baby brothers nursery.

What a great idea to include her in the decorating & so forth

So I picked up some canvas the other day., in WalMart of all places.

Didn't even know they carry it. But I got 2 for $6 can't beat that.

She did one for baby brothers room and one for her new big girl room.

She loves painting and wanted to do more, more mommy more..

I'll have to post a picture of the finished project. I ended up painting the

sides of the canvas to give it a little something. They turned out pretty cute

I'll have to post a picture soon.
