My favorites there are the Skeeter Rita & their homemade potato chips..

But I think shrimp & grits is a new favorite

It's decorated with spanish moss & has the coolest bathrooms (lol)

Complete with pictures of outhouses and buzzing sounds of mosquito play out of their speakers

This was yummy, scallops and onions,peppers, mango

with a spicy sauce

I was lucky enough to get to sample some of the great varieties of  food that was available.

They had a great mix of food.  Made by local chefs & restaurants in the areas.

A few tables had food  being cooked/served at one end of the table and

wine being served on the other end that complimented the food.

Thought I'd post a couple random pictures before getting into the Wine Weekend stuff.

I have a ton of editing to do and a mess of organizing. I worked last night till I couldn't keep my eyes open.

I got a lot of great shots! Hoping to get everything edited by next week.

In between editing I did update my Etsy shop with a few things.

The apron, Doile and Laundry sack are added. Finally!

Now got to finish planning Maddie's party. I can't believe she'll be 2 next week!!

Oh my where has time gone..

Speaking of Maddie's party we got to meet & tour Craig's house/shop where he displays all of his work

I wanted almost everything in there. I wish I had taken some pictures.

We did decide to get him to make a Nemo and a Dory for Maddie for her birthday.

I can't wait to see them. I did buy a small blue fish for our bedroom.

I'm back..

Had an awesome time!

Met some great people, tasted some awesome wine & great food.

Can't wait to share lots of pics.

Lots of editing to do, two CF cards full that I didn't get the chance to upload yet.

We made great time getting home yesterday, had a little time to get settled & start one out of a thousand loads of laundry.

We made it! We arrived in Beaufort around lunch time yesterday.

Maddie made out great! What a good little girl.

We even got in breakfast at our favorite place the Exmore Diner

We got settle in our wonderful place. I'll have to post some pictures of it.

Then I headed off in the evening for the

 Opening Reception at Chefs 105

They had great food, fresh shrimp & tuna

and of course wine

After Chefs 105 we headed to The Arendell Room Bar

for a Bartender's Cocktail Challenge

The bar was cool had a anthro feel to it.

Awesome white birch wallpaper, and cool Ball mason jars lit up behind the bar

Thought I'd do a post real quick while Tom & Maddie are napping

We got to go to the Aquarium today & hit some antique shops

We even found a to die for house.. eek. Can't wait to show you the pictures of it

Hardware

Thought I'd share a few favorite photos I have taken, some recent some older.

I love photographing doorknobs, locks, hinges, old wood.

Any old hardware tools nails,bolts etc. The more rustier (spelling?) the better.

Isn't it funny how something so simple could make a good photograph.

I challenge you to take a photo of something you would normally walk past.

A sewer drain lid, and old sign, reflection, rock, flower etc.

Think out of the box take it from a different angle, crop it, zoom in, zoom out.

Take time to explore something before you snap it.

Beaufort Bound

Don't laugh at Maddie's hat,  that's the hat we brought with us,

it matched a velvet dress she wore to my brother's wedding. ha,ha

We are heading out tomorrow early a.m. hoping to leave like 2 a.m. ??

It's a 7-8 hr trip for us. Hoping to make it as far as possible before Maddie wakes up.

I am hoping to get a stop in Exmore VA on our return for some yummy crab cakes & their awesome handmade milkshakes. Gosh listen to me worried about what I am going to eat on our trip back..

Anyway I am hoping to do some posts while I am down there.

Lots of Random pictures today.

Things are crazy in my household. Packing & Planning for our trip to Beaufort for the Food & Wine Weekend on wednesday. You'll probably remember my post on it here.  I was given the opportunity to be the event photographer for the Food & Wine Weekend. Yay! I am so excited.

But I hate packing, You see the pictures above of what my bedroom looks like. eek.

Plus I worry about things too much like:  What to wear, What to bring & what not to bring.

Plus trying to remember everything!!

Hard thing to do especially when I have to pack the lil one's bag and most all of Tom's stuff.

 My brother & his family live in Beaufort and I can't wait to visit with them.

Especially my nephew I haven't seen him since christmas.

Curious to see what Maddie thinks of him now that he's moving around and making some noise.

 My wonderful sis in law is thank for trip! :) Luv ya Linds!

I am so thankful for this opportunity, I know it will be a great experience.

That I'll learn & grow from. And help build my portfolio you know.

I also hope to sneak in some time at the beach ? combing local antique & junk shops.

HAPPY FRIDAY!

Sharing some of my Etsy favorite things.

I am all about some yellow these days., especially yellow & gray or yellow & turquoise color combinations

Yellow makes me think happy thoughts. I have decided to change my bedroom wall color to yellow instead of a coffee color. I've picked a soft yellow not a bright yellow. If that makes sense. I think it'll go good with my Pop garden covered blinds and my Robins Egg blue bedspread. So stay tuned for a bedroom update. Apparently we have alot of drywall cracks to fix first.

Yuck! that's not going to be fun. And I am impatient so we'll see how it goes.

Going to share some house photos next week. 

Lots to do this weekend., couple yardsales to hit, stuff to pick up for our trip, work to do in my Etsy shop.

Also I have decided to have a Swap party !! Working on organizing that. I think it'll be fun!
