Sunday Drive

Tom & I took a much needed sunday drive yesterday w/out baby Maddie.

Gave us some time to talk, so much going on. Here some of our happenings : Maddie hasn't been sleeping the best. Guess she going thru a seperation phase :( , Tom's looking for a job, thoughts of relocating, Our house guest has been having some personal issues that take a toll on us too.

On a happy note I have booked a wedding for the Fall !!!

My Cutie fry

We had a quiet Valentine's day! Nothing special just spent time together.

We gave Maddie a Mermaid barbie & a Mr. Potato Head

she had more fun unwrapping than anything. We also got her a Nemo card which she loved.

She is all about Nemo. Or Mooooo as she calls it. We have to put it on almost everyday. Now she doesn't pay attention to it just wants it on in the background.

Pop Daisy

Here's a preview of my curtains/blind redo project.  I had faded little sage green fabric blinds from JcPenney they didn't go with my new bedspread. Instead of buying new curtains I figured I'd thrifty and cover my exhisting ones with some fun fabric. I love this fabric. It's called Pop Garden by Heather Bailey

So bright & cheery.

Anyway back to my project., apparently I had wishful thinking on this project. The blinds are so wide it's hard to sew in my machine. I ended up moving the sew machine to the floor and Tom pressed on the pedal while I fed the blind thru the machine. Before Tom saved me I was pushing on the pedal with my foot & knee while lying on the floor using both hands to feed the blind thru. Interesting...lol

So far I have one blind done, one more to go...

Keepin Busy

Blizzard conditions gave me time to catch up on projects, and some reading.

I finished a couple pillows for the Etsy shop, I love the yellow & green together. I'd keep it for sure but it really doesn't match anything. The other fabric in the first picture is for my curtain redo project for our bedroom. I'll have to post picture of that project. I am so bad about starting 3 million different projects at the same time. And I worry myself to death about finishing them.

On a Photography note, I have been working on redoing my price list and I was contacted for 2 upcoming weddings. I am looking forward to spring & summer to get back into building my business.

Tired of snow pictures yet!

We had to take a ride to get out of the house, drifters were extremely bad. 

But Maddie had a ball in Daddy's big truck and squealed, hollered

Yay! when we hit a chuncks of snow & ice.

The orange rods are to help find our driveway.. lol  So glad we did that.

Not digging the snow, but did enjoy a quiet day. I did a little cleaning, tried to make Valentines with Maddie, baked cookies, made 2 pillows for my shop, organized a closet, got a little crazy with my new label maker,caught up on all of my laundry and snuggled with Maddie and watched Nemo for the 500th time!!

One of my 2010 goals is to open an Etsy shop.
 I have been slowly making things & collecting things to sell and waiting for the right time.

Birthday

Had a great birthday on friday! and a nice birthday weekend dispite the weather.
