I Heart You

Here's a little DIY for those collections you have laying around
I had a growing collection of heart shaped shells and rocks
when the idea came to me instead of throwing them in a bowl or something why not turn them into art and display them on your wall

My supply list is simple
2 Small Canvas's (40% off Michaels Coupon)
Hot Glue Gun
Craft Paint

Found the perfect spot for mine by my night stand

Can't wait to add a few more to these

Time for Tea

Thought I'd share a few pictures of a sewing project
I completed before the baby arrived.
I have had this tea towel for awhile now and
wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it.
I finally decided to make it into a cute pillow for our bedroom.
I think it turned out cute.
I added a lil pom pom trim to spruce it up some.

Gifts for Baby J

Sweet lil flower
Intial onesie with a cute cupcake background
First time making a bib. Turned out okay

Still trying to catch up on my posts.
Thought I'd share a few snapshots of some goodies I made for Baby J
Due to arrive in Sept. I have a bunch of onesies & shirts I have
left over. Might try to post a few to sell.
Taking up too much room. Still working on decluttering.
I tried selling some of them on Etsy with no luck. Thinking of adding to my facebook page and trying to sell them that way.  Any thoughts ?

I am also going to try featuring a Etsy shop here on the blog every other friday. I know this is suppose to be a place to show my photography work but it's kind of developed into much more. Sort of my journal, family, friends, crafts, vintage, etsy, etc. And I like it that way I think. Might change up things up and make the photography portion have it's own section.
So many ideas so little time.

Crafts & Cool Yard sale finds

I have seen these banners all over Etsy & on Blogs., finally made my own.
Not sure if I want to keep it for Maddie's room or put on Etsy yet .

Baby shower gift for Baby Ascher
Awesome yard sale find .... Can't decide where to hang it yet

Cool Vintage pin (just sold) in my Etsy shop

Been working on a few craft projects (after someone's bedtime)
and hope to finish hope the last project this week.
Made a couple onesies for a baby shower & a friends baby soon to arrive.
Made a fabric banner, which was pretty easy to make.
Hardest part deciding on what fabrics to use.

Did some yard saleing, and combed a local indoor yard sale.
That's where I found the painting above. Need to clean it up some.
I love it! Love the scene and the big chunky frame.
Was thinking about spray painting the frame a cool color ?
Like Miss LeeAnn at Vintage Sassy who has me wanting to spray paint everything I can get my hands on..lol
Any ideas ? Paint or not to paint ??

Don't forget !! I am having my first ever giveaway on friday!!

More Craft Projects

Just keeping swimming swimming, swimming...

Thought I'd share a few craft projects I've worked on lately. We've been having trouble with Maddie sleeping. As in going down to sleep and then waking up several times in the middle of the night crying.
She's gotten back on schedule now and goes down okay but is still waking up at least once a night. Not as bad as it was. She loves Nemo!! I had seen a pillow case tutorial online. So I ordered Nemo fabric made it.
Hoping it would help her sleep. She loved the fabric and loves pointing out Nemo on it. At first she kept throwing it out of her crib several times. ha,ha Nice try! right.  However now she's seems to like it.
We say are you ready to go nah-night with Nemo and she'll say YEAH!!

Now I'm ready to make some pillowcase for our bed. So easy to make to.
I also made her this little starfish shirt., turned out pretty good.

Ruffles everywhere

I have been on a ruffle spree. Ruffle tea towels, Ruffles on onesies bottoms, kitchen curtains, a pillow..
help I can't stop. I made my best-y Kathy the tea towel in the picture above for her birthday. After seeing them in Crystal's blog. I thought I could do that. I used a ruffle tutorial I found online. It's extremely easy.
