Capturing Memories

I love taking photos no doubt about that but

I have found having two kids it's been much more difficult to tote along my big DSLR camera., My Iphone has become my crutch 

maybe because it's always near by, it's convenient but hey it works great

and it's a simple snap and throw it back in your purse or pocket and go

example this shot, this was taken a couple summers ago during our OBX

vacation, my brother had brought along some of his cool bikes to ride around near our beach house and this one with the basket on the back was a big hit all the kids wanted to ride on the back

my girl fell asleep on the ride and I was able to snap this on my phone before

she woke up, let's just say no naps on vacation finally caught up to her

 so sweet this picture is one of my favorite

when I saw a great coupon code for a canvas I opted for this one

this is a memory I will never forget

I hope one day she gets to hang it in her house and it reminds her of that great place that great moment of togetherness of family and friends

the simple things 

Here it is printed on canvas in a little nook in the hallway

right before you go into our master bedroom but it visible from our living room

*not the best lighting for photos ugh* 

I was nervous about about how the quality would be since it was

done on my phone but it turned out pretty good, the color could be better a little brighter. Could because of the filter I used or pixels from phone to print but I love it regardless

Family Of Feathers

Hello Monday!

Back after enjoying a lovely warm weekend

Had a boat n beach day, some mega yard sale-ing

and enjoyed some family time

Back today and wanted to share a Painting project I finished a couple weeks ago, I have been pretty good about decorating and repurposing things to make

our house a home with what lil budget we have which is nothing sometimes

Bought this painting for .50 cents and used paint I already had

I am so bad about before photos, but this was an ugly painting

I painted over with a nice shade of purple and left the frame the gold tone it was. Both are two elements out of my comfort zone., not a big purple or gold fan. But I am loving the two together I have to say.

I love feathers I have a small collection going 

so I got thinking how cool would it be to do a lil family feathers

to represent our lil family

Weird probably, but I liked the idea

I pinned everything feather on Pinterest for some inspiration and went to town

by no means am I a painter but I think it turned out pretty good 

I tried to give each feather some detail 

I had to incorporate some of my favorite color into my mommy feather

Daddy, Mommy, Sister and brother feather  awh....

Now if I could just decide on a place to hang it ugh... running out of wall space

Downtown Date Night

TGIF - Yippee it's the weekend

Finally sharing some photos from our Downtown Date Night

It's been a long time we've been both kidless 

My parents were nice enough to forgo their saturday afternoon and watch them

we decided to check out the Wilmington Wine & Beer Walk

Found out about it online at http://www.coolwilmington.com

I thought it would be cool to hang out and explore downtown

and find some really neat places that we normally wouldn't go in

And it was just that, We found some cool restaurants and bars

and the in betweens some neat shops, met some interesting people

The beginning and the middle of the date were great the end not so good and we'll just leave it at that...lol

I Love Custom Orders

Sharing some photos of a Custom Order I did 

I love this fabric, so bright n cheery

Works for a boy or girl

I did these for two new babies a Boy & Girl per the request of their Grandmommy I threw in an extra one just because I knew 

her daddy loves bike riding

The pink polka dot bike was challenging eek... so many small lines to work with

But I love the way they turned out

I think this one is my favorite

I love these two colors together orange & aqua

Plus it's a break in tradition of the pink everything for a girl 

This one is for a sweet lil chubby cheek guy :)
