Halloween in the south

My attempt at a posed costume shot.. 

I'll take what I can get

Even thou it was a bit chilly here we still had a great time

My neighbor down the street told us most people trick or treated 

at the big park near our house rather than the neighborhood

So decided to check it out, they had lots of games, candy, costume contest

And bouncy houses (which our neighbor runs) I'll have to tell you about that later. It's kind of like living next to the circus for Maddie & Dalton

After trick or treating we end up going to a few houses in the neighborhood

that were decorated

Maddie's pumpkin was filled to the brim

Dalton had more fun trying to steal the bowl and trying to pick out his

own candy and examining it and then putting it back in the bowl and pulling out another. Lots of oohs and ahhs coming from that lil guy

Our poor pumpkin on the left has about had it

thanks to all the rain from hurricane Sandy

Some Pre Halloween Trick or Treating

Belated Halloween photos, We did a little pre trick or treating at the

Fort Fisher Aquarium here in NC.

Our Pirate and Brave had a blast. Maddie was all over the place checking out the cool Halloween decorations and lil guy was doing lots of woos and ut ohs..

Unpacking and putting away and de-cluttering takes up most of our days but

we have found time to do activities with the kids. Like this visit to the Aquarium

I can not believe all of the events that

go on here. I am totally digging our new town

This guy look familiar ? it looks like the fish with the big teeth and light from Nemo Maddie knew it right away. 

I loved seeing all of the decorated pumpkins underwater.

Pumpkin Time

Took a brake from getting settled our first week here and stopped to visit the

Hampstead Methodist Church pumpkin sale.

We pulled up and wow the live oaks and Spanish moss with lanterns in the branches had me at HELLO

I love the spanish moss !! and I so heart the live oak trees

The pumpkins were awesome. We had a great time picking them out.

This little guy had a ball and picked up every pumpkin he could.

He's getting so big!! This year will be his first "real" Halloween

in which he gets to wear a costume.

I have to crack up when I uploaded this picture, I think he may have been

working on a lil something, something in the diaper...lol

We're home

We have arrived well actually we've been here for a week but

 just got the new internet up and running.

We love our new home and our new town. 

Still haven't done too much exploring yet

but we have plenty of time. 

Thought I would share a few photos of our new house still a work in progress

Still a ton of stuff to unpack/bring from storage.

We are slowly working on that.

We haven't seen some of our things in months

3 months to be exact. When we get to bring the kids toys home

it will feel like Christmas to them.

I love the natural light in this room. Can't wait to show you more of it.

We have a great space for guests. 

Hoping to eventually put a bathroom up here.

In time, in time that is. 

It hasn't hit me about being a stay at home mom yet., as Tom's been home

with us. Taking care of the kids and my Etsy shop will by my jobs.

For now I am excited on all of our adventures to come.

I feel like we have a 2nd start on all of things.

One last photo session

Yay! I squeezed in one last photo session this past weekend. Had fun we made do even thou the weather was not best. The wind picked up and the temp dropped on my way to meet them.

Alot of pictures had to be taken indoors.

This is my first week home with both kids,

I am sure it will be a treat packing and keeping both kids busy. Dalton is running fevers not another ear infection Dr says a virus ?? Just what we need before the big move...ugh

We did get to partake in some yummy Maryland Crabs

Will be our last for awhile, We will have to try NC's
