Suddenly Southport

Greetings.... Sharing a few more photos from our Day away 

We decided to head to Southport here in Nc to explore for the day despite the sickness at home it had been a long week and we both needed a break. 

The antique stores, museums and the ferry ride was calling my name turns out the weather had different ideas it was blowing like crazy and freezing cold and hubby didn't feel so good

so we improvised and decided to just explore and enjoy ourselves

Our first stop was Brunswicktown/ Fort Anderson

a place with lots of history lots of grounds to explore and beautiful scenery 

I can't wait to go back and visit with the kids

Old Beautiful Church remains from the 1700's 

We then went on to enjoy lunch in Southport at The Fishy Fishy Cafe 

I munched on a delicious Fish Taco w/some Sweet potato fries 

pretty cute little place to hit up if you visit, they are right on the water, with a huge deck and tiki bar

We also hit up a Restore and some other junk stores on our way out.

Such a cute waterfront town reminds me of back home in a way. 

Any SafeHaven Fans remember this house ? 

Here's to more days away, more days exploring and loving our new state

Sharing a sneak peek of our little weekend getaway

Hubby and I celebrated our 8 yr anniversary admist all of the sickness in our household

We did some exploring, eating, back road riding, talking

etc.... We enjoyed the quiet for a couple hours

I even broke out my big camera., 

so I can't wait to share a few more pics

So another new "thang" for the new year are these,  Essential oils

I decided to give them a try after reading a lot about them from a couple of my favorite blogs, and people I follow on Instagram. 

So far I am digging them and the benefits of using them.

They are great for Stress, Muscle pain, Cold care, Anxiety, Dry Skin, Sleeplessness 

 I can't wait to share more about them

Howdy there, Saying Hello & Welcome 2014

Oh how I have missed blogging, it's become my journal, my outlet

Thou it seems lately I dropped everything I was doing and left town so to speak

I am back to work full time and have adjusted to my new schedule and

 got my work groove back. Yippee..

And Like everyone I have made a few goals for my myself

I won't bore you too much with the details but #1 on my list is too be more

intentional, In everything I do. Love intentionally, Think intentionally,

Taking more time to slow down and think about what I am doing, saying, how I am acting...

Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul - 

and sings the tunes without the words - and never stops at all.
